Sea Kayaking North Wales Can I Kayak On Majour European Rivers?

Can I kayak on majour european rivers? - sea kayaking north wales

The idea is that we go to a kayak trip from Switzerland to Bulgaria. This means that after France, Italy, to begin our journey from there, the best way is to start in Basel, north of the Rhine, then go to the Main, Rhine-Main-Danube Canal and Danube, and a little kayaking in the Black Sea.

The questions are:
1. Is it legal to kayak in the rivers. Because in some places with high traffic ban on human-powered boats, so they need to know.
2. These are international waters of the Danube? We have EU passports, but by Croatia and Serbia?
3. What are the fees we pay?

Yes, it is legal in a kayak in the rivers. One thing is for sure ... You can be happy that you no longer need to buy "Film" for his cameras. Which way will take a picture.

You can use a kayak along the entire length (1770 miles) take from the Danube. The river flows east to the Black Forest in Germany to the Black Sea. Ocean vessels from the Black Sea Braila go so far in Romania, and river boats to go so far as to Kelheim in Bavaria, then everything is smaller craft - and yes, the Danube is open throughout, even Ulm, Germany. There are no fees for small pleasure boats.
I've been in these waters, and propose that you start in the far northwest as you intend to go, so do not fight against the tide. In fact, (if you have time), why not start in Paris, France?
If I were you, instead of asking the opinion of the Consultant of America - who can possibly be necessary to consult, but more importantly, no "hot spots" in the regions of the visa. I know there are strange things gINGO in Germany, Romania and Ukraine, U.S. consular travel warnings and suggestions posted.
The following links are a man who does what he wants. It seemed interesting.

    Boating safe!
