Can I use the Metro water for my fish tank? - fish tank chennai

Hello,

I live in my apartment in Chennai, where only water is linked to the subway. (No borehole or well water) My friend who went to the United States, I see the aquarium in his absence. You do not know if I can ground water in the tank when the water contains chlorine. Please suggest.

  2. Sometimes tap water is safe for fish, as they regularly test for toxins, pollutants and heavy metals. But the tap water (or subway) contains many additives, to the benefit of man, "that's not good for the fish. All over the fish should be able to buy a water softener. It is not all air conditioners are equal, some remove Simply remove chlorine and chlorine and also monitor the pH and water hardness.

So, if you buy the air conditioning system with what it refers careful. Many companies give you a bottle of more and less cost than that - but it is necessary to use 3 times as much. see how this is done - which is usually a little 4x forever.

  3. When you do water changes, I only filled with water from the city. Here the water is very good. Philadelphia, I do not drink, but my fresh fish. I drink, if I were dying of thirst. If you are concerned Clean fill buckets 5 gallons and let sit for min. 30 hours or more. Alternatively, you can) filter through a filter tap water (live in your kitchen sink. Also be treated with chemicals. I do not advise it. Too $ and concerns.

  4. As Chris said, there are things that you buy your pet for the safety of tap water (removes chlorine and impurities). It is relatively cheap and a little goes a long way, it's worth the long term. And it works immediately. Remember, you do not want to change all the water in the tank at a time, you want to do the water changes. Here is a website that you can help with this: http://freshaquarium.about.com/od/fishqa ...
Hope this helps. Good luck! O)
